Make Your Own Homemade Face Masks Scrubs

How funny is this picture of the lady at the spa with cucumbers splayed across her face? Back in the 50s the average housewife concocted her own homemade face masks and scrubs to keep her skin dewy and soft.

Women today are going back to basics and making up their own homemade face masks using simple ingredients found in the refrigerator and pantry, such as olive oil, brown sugar, table salt, eggs, avocado, honey and yogurt. Homemade face masks are not only fresh and devoid of processing (and testing on animals), they are also economical. After all, my beloved jar of Fresh Sugar Face Polish cost me $30. God knows I love it, but I love the effect my own homemade sugar scrub has on my skin. And my recipe costs me mere pennies.

One of my most popular articles of all time is Make Your Own Homemade Face Masks & Scrubs, which includes 25 recipes for 6 different skin types. Because literally 1000s of people have tried these recipes over the years, they tend to rate them as well, so you can see which ones were beloved and others which, well, weren't so much.
