A basic rule of thumb when it comes to choosing the perfect blush for you is to consider your skin type. Dry skin works better with a creamy blush, whereas oily and combination skin types can use both. If your cheeks appear matte and you'd like them more dewy, consider a cream blush or a pot rouge. Even a dab of lipstick can add the perfect color in a pinch.
